Clair

In preparation for a mastectomy, Clair took the powerful and creative step of baring herself for a commemorative life drawing session, facilitated on zoom by Reconfigure Life Drawing. Clair had not modelled before, and proved to be a natural, with lovely relaxed drapey poise that is so great to draw. During the session Clair took a series of short poses, which I sketched in graphite, then finishing with a longer 30 minute (coloured pencil).
